1. Different LED beads: The LED grille has a large spacing between screen points, usually P15 or above models, with a relatively small dot density. In outdoor environments, high brightness products are required, so direct insertion of light beads is used to ensure the high brightness characteristics of the screen. LED transparent screens are installed outdoors for viewing, with a relatively high point density, usually P3.9P7 Models such as 8P10, with small dot pitch and ultra clear image quality, are made of SMD beads.

2. Different installation environments: LED grille screens are installed in outdoor environments, while LED transparent screens are installed in indoor environments.

3. Different waterproof levels: The LED grille screen is safe outdoors, waterproof and dustproof, and the protection level must reach IP65. Indoor installation of LED transparent screens with low protection level requirements, generally IP34.

4. Different weights: Due to the protection level required for LED grille screens, choosing adhesive waterproofing technology will increase the weight of the light strip itself. Due to the heavy weight of the light strip itself, the box is made of cold-rolled steel plate or die cast aluminum, which will result in a heavier weight of the entire screen, usually around 20KG/square meter. However, LED transparent screens do not have this process, and the light strips are thinner, while Lianman Optoelectronics adopts a frameless design, making the screen lighter and weighing as little as 7KG/square meter.

The current LED grille screen has limitations, such as lower breathability compared to LED transparent screens, stricter requirements for installation environment, and a service life between 3-5 years, which is shorter than that of LED transparent screens.

For outdoor LED advertising screens, prolonged exposure to wind and sun is required, so durability becomes an important factor in testing the grille screen.
