What is the difference between LCD monitors and LCD displays?

Author:admin / Publication time:2022-05-21

1、 The performance of core components varies:

The CRT monitor uses a dedicated imaging tube with stronger color recognition and recognition ability than the CRT monitor, which can more realistically reproduce the collected source image.

The LCD monitor is said to use a dedicated LCD panel, which has higher physical performance than equivalent displays, such as visual angle, response time, brightness, etc.

2、 Different input signal interfaces:

The monitor inputs AV analog video signals and is compatible with other signal sources such as VGA and YPbPr;

Computer monitors usually only input VGA signals of RGB primary colors and are used to connect to computers.

3、 Different resolutions:

CRT monitors can generally reach 625 lines (interlaced)/1250 lines (progressive), and the number of CRT scanning lines is significantly lower.

The resolution of LCD monitors of the same size is equivalent to that of LCD monitors.

4、 Different levels of radiation:

CRT monitors generally use metal casings to shield electromagnetic radiation, while plastic casings of CRT monitors have weak radiation suppression.

LCD monitors and displays basically do not emit electromagnetic waves, but LCD monitors are usually all metal shells that have a significant effect in shielding external strong electric field interference.

5、 Different refresh rates: The refresh rate of a regular color monitor should be below 50Hz (analog), while a typical computer monitor can easily reach 75Hz.

6、 The components are different.
